MEMBERSHIPS FOR DEPLOYED MILITARY AND THEIR FAMILIES
Through a new program offered through the Department of Defense, the YMCA is proud to offer free, six-month memberships to independent duty and the families of deployed service men and women. Contact the front desk for more information.
SPONSORED MEMBERSHIP
Each year the YMCA offers sponsored memberships, as funding is available, to youth, seniors and adults with disabilities who meet certain income requirements. Each year over $30,000 in sponsored memberships are provided to over 100 individuals.
Sponsored membership applications forms are available at the front desk.
CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP
The YMCA’s corporate membership program is a great way for companies to encourage a healthy lifestyle amongst their employees. The economic effects in the workplace can include less turnover, lower healthcare costs, reduced absenteeism and increased morale.
The YMCA provides a discount on membership fees if your corporation provides the following:
- A minimum of five employees who are current members or want to sign up for a one-year membership; and
- Offers payment through either payroll deductions or bank drafts.
- Employees at following companies currently enjoy corporate rates:
- Allegheny Insurance
- Armstrong Flooring
- Citizens National Bank
- Coastal Lumber Company
- Davis Health Systems
- Elkins Fordland
- Greenfield Cabinetry
- Randolph County Board of Education
- The Inter Mountain
Employees must provide proof of employment (either a letter confirming their employment or their most recent pay stub) at the time of registration.
AWAY MEMBERS
A.W.A.Y. means "Always Welcome at YMCAs." The A.W.A.Y. program is based on the philosophy that when a person enrolls in a YMCA, he or she becomes a member of a nationwide association of people that helps build strong kids, strong families and strong communities, and, therefore, when away from home, on business or vacation, will be warmly welcomed by all other participating YMCAs in the United States.
At the Elkins/Randolph County YMCA, A.W.A.Y. members can enjoy our facilities for up to three weeks free of charge. A.W.A.Y. members must show proof of membership and a photo id and must complete a day guest application form. Members of YMCAs within 50 miles of our location are limited to three visits per month.
